Here is an extra and very beneficial tip when juicing citrus. Juice some of the pith! Not the skin, put some of the white stuff at the center of citrus fruits and on the inside of the peel. What's the benefit you may ask? Well, adding some of the white pith into a juice is not going to make it very sour, like juicing the skin would, but it will greatly increase the amount of antioxidants in your juice, especially if you are using one of the best masticating juicers!

There are actually more antioxidants in the skin and pith of citrus fruits than in the actual flesh of the fruit!

This goes for most fruits and veggies too. The reason being that the outer layers of fruits and veggies concentrate in antioxidants to protect against the oxidizing effects of sunlight and oxygen in the air. Thus protecting the flesh inside. So whenever possible always juice skins or the pith of any fruit or veggie. However, skip juicing the skin of citrus fruits, most of them contain oils that can upset the stomach in higher concentrations.
